This is a clear indication that the network is pulling out all the stops when it comes to promoting what is already one of the most highly anticipated new series of the fall season.

Blair Underwood will be joining fellow presenters Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Eva Longoria-Parker (Desperate Housewives), Tina Fey (30 Rock)  and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory)  at this year’s live Emmy telecast. The evening will be hosted by late night talk show star Jimmy Fallon.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards will air on NBC August 29 at 8 PM.

You may have seen him on Lost, Heroes, Damages, Oz, Big Love, 24, The West Wing or  The X-Files.

That’s a pretty impressive resume right there. But that’s not all.

Željko Ivanek has also had an illustrious career on stage as well. He has  appeared almost as many landmark plays on Broadway and off-Broadway.  Some of his acclaimed stage appearances include Tennessee William’s The Glass Menagerie, Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs and Joe Orton’s Loot.

He has also tackled his fair of demanding  and complex stage roles  as well.  He played Captain Queeg in The Caine Mutiny and appeared in the gritty and emotionally stark  play, The Pillowman.

That’s right, the multi-talented Underwood has authored three -count ‘em- three novels. They are Casanegra, In The Night of The Heat and From Cape Town With Love. Co-written by Underwood, Tananarive Due  and Steven Barnes, each book is a different adventure in the life of struggling actor and former gigolo Tennyson Hardwick.

Perhaps Blair is writing from experience?
